5 - 7 Apples (4 cups)
3/4 cup sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons flour (I find that 2 tbsp results in runny pie, try 4 tbsp.)
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
Deep Dish Pie Crust for bottom
Regular pie crust for top
1. Slice apples thin; mix sugar, flour and spices, add to apples. Pour into unbaked crust and dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Bake 400 degrees, 50 minutes. While baking, cover the outer edge for the first 30 minutes.
